We have recently added another truck to our fleet.  Our Peterbilt 337 straight truck is a great addition as it is very comfortable for any drivers regardless of height or weight.  The air ride seat is super nice and the steering is adjustable allowing any driver to fit behind the wheel with ease.

California takes the lead with Truck Driver Training

On July 19th, the State of California Assembly Committee on Transportation passed Senate Bill (SB) 158 by Senator Bill Monning (D-Carmel).  The bill claims to improve road safety by implementing new federal commercial truck driving regulations, as well as adding additional truck driver safety requirements.

The Economy continues to be STRONG

Van, reefer rates soared in July

Per-mile spot market rates in van and reefer segments continued their recent hot streak in July, with both segments climbing to their highest point in two years, according to monthly rate data from Truckstop.com. Flatbed rates dipped a few cents in the month, but the segment’s per-mile rate average remains at one of its strongest points since mid-2015, too.

Pam really worked hard at learning what it takes to be successful driving a big rig.  She had never driven a manual transmission before but she was determined to spend the time and effort to developed her skills.  We really admire Pam for her strong commitment to the learning process. With her attitude, she will be successful where ever she goes.

Senate DOT bill, unlike House, skips changes to ELD mandate, driver breaks

A spending bill cleared by the Senate Appropriations Committee this week is free of any trucking-related policy reforms, a departure from the House’s version of the same bill, which includes several trucking policy riders.

Merlin Williams

Merlin did a great job with his training with us.  He passed his first CDL road test.  He also did a really good job with the big rigs and demonstrated excellent backing skills.
