Interstate Assisting With Hope For Haiti

Interstate Truck Driving School delivered 40,000 pounds of rice to the military air base at MSP July 7th to help out the Real Hope for Haiti campaign. The Airforce Reserve will be taking this load of rice to Haiti without charge as part of a training mission. Sometimes we forget just how huge of a contribution our military makes toward humanitarian efforts helping people all over the globe.

Disc Brakes are becoming more accepted in the trucking industry

Pinnacle Express operates fuel trucks servicing the aviation industry.  In order to deal with their heavy loads, they have purchased truck and trailers with disc brakes to help them stop quickly if there's some obstacle or accident suddenly in front their drivers.

"My drivers, because we haul fuel tankers, are trained not to 'avoid' the accident," says Jim Fox, the fleet's vice president and general manager. "They cannot turn the wheel to avoid, because they will roll over and it will lead to a much bigger problem.

Eric J. from St. Paul just graduaed from Interstate's Professional Tractor Trailer Program. He cruised through his course, completeing it in 6 weeks and passed his first road test. He's hoping to be starting with Sysco in the near future.

Jason F.

Jason F. started at Interstate in late April and now, less than 2 months later he has a Class A CDL and a job at Coca-Cola. Like his group, he put a lot of work and effort into becoming a safe truck driver and after passing his first road test, he's ready to start his new career.

Matt P. from Maplewood just graduated from Interstate's 160 Program. After he completed his training in less than 2 months and passed his first road test, he is now going to be driving for Sysco.

Steven H. from our flagship location of South St. Paul has just graduated from Interstate's 160 Hour Course. He took advantage of our online program to get some of his training done from home and now he's choosing between driving for Roehl or Schneider.

Alex M.

Alex M. from St. Paul MN has just graduated from ITDS's Professional Tractor Trailer Program. He had his Class A license already but needed a refresher course in order to drive for Knight. After one monthm he's ready to start his new career as a truck driver.
