April 6th UPDATE

We are continuing to offer training while maintaining the proper health directives from the CDC.

Classes start every Monday at 8AM and the first three days of class are provided over the internet with Zoom.  We are in our third week of providing the training with this system and it is working out very well.  Students are able to get questions answered in real time and communicate with the instructors.

As I am sure you are aware, Governor Walz ordered a shutdown of non-essential businesses last week. This shutdown is currently in effect until April 10th.

Interstate Truck Driving School and our sister school in Wisconsin, Hudson Truck Driving School are continuing to operate as a critical function business.  

The trucking industry is swamped trying to keep up with the demand to deliver goods and services to stores and businesses around the country.  With that high demand for drivers, truck driving schools are qualified to operate in compliance with the CASI guidelines.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has issued a Stay at Home Order this afternoon.  In his Order he referenced Dept of Homeland CISA Guidance to identify the types of businesses that are allowed to continue to operate (see Federal Guidance below).

Since the transportation of goods and supplies are vital to the health and safety of citizens, we feel it is important to continue to operate on a reduced basis in order to provide the transportation industry with properly trained drivers to operate the trucks delivering those goods and supplies.

We have taken our classes online.  

There is still a strong demand for new truck drivers and we have been successful in adjusting our training to deliver the information our students need via the internet. New students need to pre-register in person but an appointment is required to visit our South St. Paul campus to complete the paperwork.

These are challenging times for everyone in the world.  We recognize the importance of maintaining a supply chain to provide for the needs of everyone in our community.  To that end, we are Continuing to operate using best possible practices to keep the flow of new drivers available in these stressful times.
