Many of our customers are eligible for tuition
assistance from various government programs including the DISLOCATED WORKER
PROGRAM.
If you are unemployed
and receiving unemployment benefits chances are you are eligible for some
sort of training assistance. We work
closely with the Minnesota Workforce Centers to help students get the
training they need. There are other
agencies that provide help to people that are under-employed. Please visit our office for more
information on what programs are available and where to go to apply.
All major trucking
companies will provide you with tuition
reimbursement. They will pay you on a monthly basis in order to pay
you back for the cost of your training. These programs only apply if you had
to pay for the training on your own up front or with financing. We will give
you a receipt for the fees you pay us and the company you go to work for will
reimburse you 100%. Here is a list of current reimbursement plans:
Swift
Transportation: Pays $150.00 per month
starting after completion of on the job training with maximum amount of
$5,000.00 for training reimbursement.

If you took our
Professional Tractor Trailer Program for $3,995.00 and put it on a credit
card at 12% interest you would have it paid off in 33 months with the help of
the companies that reimburse you $150.00 per month. We are not an agent for
any of these companies and provide this information as a service to our
customers with no guarantee whatsoever as to the accuracy of the current
company programs. Contact the individual company for up to date details.
If you can’t find the
money right now to pay for training then perhaps you should start out with a
Class B license since it is less expensive to obtain and the requirements for
Class B drivers is somewhat less demanding than it is for Class A drivers. You can make about $700.00 to $750.00 per
week with a Class B license and save up for Class A training. We are always
willing to sit down and discuss options with our customers so it would be
worth your time to visit our office and talk with Harold, Joel, or Bill.
If you are a Veteran returning from duty we
have a great program to offer you!!! Vets are eligible for
assistance up to 10 years after active duty.
The amount of assistance varies depending on branch of service and
years of active duty. It is all very
complicated but we have all the information in our office so we invite you to
visit so we can explain the benefits clearly. It’s good to know that Uncle
Sam provides some decent benefits for our returning service men and women.
