Bill Collins, the owner of Interstate Truck Driving School, has been racing cars since he was a teen back in the late 1990s. After starting the truck driving school in 1998, Bill had a goal of racing trucks to promote the business.
The 83 Truck was built in 2001 by Andy Jirik of Lonsdale MN and raced successfully by Andy in the U.S. Super Truck Series. Bill started running the truck in the Big 8 Sportman Division at Elko Speedway in the spring of 2009. His best finish during the year was a 2nd in a heat and a 4th in a feature.
Bill finished off the year with a 5th place at Octoberfest with the US Super Truck North Series and a 9th at Memphis with the U S Super Truck Challange Series.
