At Interstate Truck Driving School we offer a variety of Class A CDL and Class B CDL courses designed to help new drivers learn and to pass the CDL road test, and to improve the skill set of experienced drivers. Our commercial driving courses are designed for everyone from new drivers that have never driven a big truck all the way through drivers with years of experience. Driving the Big Rigs - Diesel Truck Road Tests and Training If you're in a one of our comprehensive Class A commercial truck driving courses, once you have your license we get you up to speed on driving the big rigs. Starting with 7-speed non-synchronized transmission trucks we'll then move you up to 10 speeds when you're ready. (We have 9 and 13-speed trucks on order.) We also work with a variety of trailers, including 18, 44, 48, and 53-foot trailers. What's in one of our advanced comprehensive Class A courses? One of our more advanced programs for experienced - our Master Driver Over the Road Class A Tractor Trailer Program - includes the DOT physical and drug screen, 40 hours of classroom instruction, 30 hours of range practice, 40 hours of one-on-one instruction, 30 hours of simulator training, and 30 hours of observation time. It also includes the opportunity to make extended trips with the instructor and the option to take part in an anti-jackknife skid control training session.
