Jason Searcy

Jason's uncle was an over the road truck driver when he was growing up and sparked his interest in driving.  Prior to becoming an Instructor for Interstate, Jason drove Tractor Trailer rigs for a regional LTL company for 18 years and had a perfect safety record.  The last 18 months he was a trainer for the company.  Jason also has been a racetrack announcer for 25 years and currently announces at Elko Speedway on Saturday nights during the summer. 

Jason works for us as both a classroom instructor and an on the road trainer. 

Joe Hogan

Joe Hogan joins the Interstate Truck Driving School instructor core with a wealth of experience.  Joe first obtained his CDL over ten years when working with Loram in railroad maintenance.  He worked with Central Refrigerated before purchasing his own truck to become an owner operator.  Joe has experience with tankers, flat bed, refrigerated, dry van and even some over size loads.  He has also been serving as a volunteer fireman with Marine on St. Croix for the last five years.  Joe also served with the U. S.

Sam Winger

Sam is our newest and youngest instructor.  He brings the spark of a millennial and is really good at helping students on the simulators and with their backing skills. We have students from a wide range of ages and Sam complements our staff with his sharp eye and enthusiasm.

Gary Allman

Gary Allman brings a wealth of experience with him to complement our instructing staff. He has 30 year previous experience with UPS were he was also a Third Party Examiner. Gary also spent last five years instructing at the Century College truck driver training program until it closed at the beginning of March, 2017.


Phil Kampa

Phil Kampa is a former student of Interstate Truck Driving School. He graduated from our Professional Tractor Trailer Program in October of 2012. He went on the road driving for Schneider until late 2015. Now he's one of the instructors here and we are very excited to have him on board.

Mark Sanders

Mark Sanders is a former MN Dept of Public Safety DVS examiner and a former Highway Patrol Commercial Vehicle Inspector.  Mark has a passion for traffic safety and has extensive mechanical knowledge that helps our students really understand what is necessary to operate the big trucks safely.  He is also very skilled at discovering what each student needs from him as an instructor to help them learn in a way that is tailored to them as an individual.

Bubba Aguirre

Bubba Aguirre is a former State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety Driving Examiner.  He now works full time for the Minnesota Department of Commerce and former Red Cross CPR Instructor. Bubba is on a medical leave for the time being and not active as an instructor but we hope his health improves and he can come back to assist us in the future.

Tim Hoskin

Tim Hoskin is a former Interstate student and has been an instructor at Interstate for over 10 years.  Tim is an avid sportsman so do not expect to see him at Interstate the first week of deer season. Tim spends a lot of his free time on his motorcycle.   Tim helps our students every day with his extremely positive attitude and his passion to help people succeed.

Bob Christensen

Bob is a former Minnesota Department of Public Safety Driving Examiner and he has extensive experience in the trucking industry. Bob taught our class three days a week for five years and has now retired to spend more time on the golf course.  We are grateful to all he added to our organization and wish him well in his retirement. 

Bill Collins

Bill is the founder and sole owner of Interstate Truck Driving School.  He has been licensed as a Professional Driving Instructor since 1979 and driving big rigs since 1975.  Bill has trained thousands of students over the years including police officers, bus drivers, truck drivers, and high school students.
