Women In Trucking and ITDS join forces

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

We at Interstate Truck Driving School are very proud to announce that we are now joined with The Women in Trucking Association.

“Women In Trucking was established to encourage the employment of women in the trucking industry, promote their accomplishments and minimize obstacles faced by women working in the trucking industry.

The organization is an active group that finds opportunities to promote the accomplishments of women in the industry.

This organization has been created for you, both men and women, who are either involved in the industry, or have a career interest in being a part of one of the largest networks of professionals in North America. Nearly one out of fourteen workers are already employed in jobs that support the transportation industry, but the need for drivers and other trucking professionals continues to increase.”

We will have a recruiter from the very well known carrier US Xpress at our South St. Paul office. Like a majority of the carriers out there, they are in need of drivers.

“We have more than 3,000 carefully screened and trained drivers in terminal facilities covering all major markets. Our drivers use paperless e-logs, and undergo CSA 2010 and safety training, driver simulation courses and Hazmat certification.

With a state-of-the-art fleet of over 2,800 tractors, and access to more than 22,000 53’ trailers, there are no restrictions. The average age of our assets is less than three years, and all include disc brakes for quicker stopping.

There is no need to feel limited to defined regional markets. Take advantage of full coverage throughout the U.S., as well as international deliveries to and from Mexico and Canada, dray solutions, and TWIC-approved drivers in multiple locations.”
