One of the resouces we use in our training programs is the Smith System.  The Smith System has been around for over 40 years.  Many of you might have heard of the System first in drivers education class when you were 15 or 16.

The Smith System is still in use and we teach our student the same five keys:

1. Aim High in Steering
2. Get the Big Picture
3. Keep your Eyes Moving
4. Make Sure They See YOU
5. Leave Yourself an Out

We also use Professional Truck Driving Institute (PTDI) approved text and materials along with materials and DVDs from J.J. Keller.  The owner of Interstate Truck Driving School, Bill Collins, has been in the driver training field for almost 30 years and driving trucks even longer.  Bill is at the school teaching almost every day and he will make sure you get the personalized attention to learn how to become a safe, proficient truck driver.
