News from Interstate Truck Driving School - Back to News Page

June 25th UPDATE

Job Opportunities for new truck drivers is expanding.

Our staff at Interstate/Hudson Truck Driving Schools is in constant contact with trucking companies that hire new drivers.  The COVID-19 virus obviously reduced the need for new drivers during the second quarter of 2020.  Now that the economy is opening up again, the freight volume is increasing and as a result the trucking companies are offering positions to drivers new to the industry.

The exam stations are providing CDL Permit tests but there are still long lines.  We have had reports of our students arriving a dawn and waiting 5 or 6 hours to get in to the building for their tests.

Our training programs are operating at full speed.  Students are able to enroll and start class every Monday.

We have NO testing delays.  Our Wisconsin connection with our school in Hudson, gives us access to CDL road tests in Wisconsin and we can get our students tested within a week.  CDL road testing in Minnesota is experiencing extensive delays with some exam stations booked out 90 days.  We are very fortunate to have established our Wisconsin school over two years ago in order to provide good customer service for our students.
